Montblanc 1858 Geosphere
Montblanc 1858 Geosphere: 42 mm stainless steel case, automatic movement, calibre MB 29.25, water-resistant to 100 m.
Description
The Montblanc 1858 line is inspired by legendary professional watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for the military and exploration. Reinterpreting those historic models, Montblanc 1858 reflects the spirit of mountain exploration and the current return to nature. The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere is dedicated to the Seven Summits challenge, the Holy Grail of mountaineers. It comes in a 42 mm stainless steel case with contrasting black and beige details. The watch features a manufacture world-time complication created by Montblanc's watchmakers in Villeret: two domed globes moving in opposite directions each complete a full rotation in 24 hours. The globes are topped by a 24-time-zone scale and a day/night indicator in contrasting colours, so the different time zones can be read intuitively, aided by luminescent continents that improve visibility and performance in the dark. The watch comes on a vintage-style technical stainless steel bracelet.
