Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition
Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition: automatic movement, calibre MB 29.25.
Description
The Montblanc 1858 line is inspired by legendary watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for the military and exploration. Reinterpreting these exceptional models, Montblanc 1858 reflects the spirit of mountain exploration and the current return to nature. The 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition 1858 is dedicated to the Seven Summits challenge, the Holy Grail of mountaineers. It comes in a 42 mm polished and satin-finished bronze case with a khaki-green dial that underlines the link with nature. The watch features a manufacture world-time complication created by Montblanc's watchmakers in Villeret: two domed globes moving in opposite directions each complete a full rotation in 24 hours. The globes are topped by a 24-time-zone scale and a day/night indicator in contrasting colours, so the different time zones can be read intuitively, with the extra help of SuperLumiNova applied to the continents to improve visibility and performance in the dark. The contemporary look of this model is accentuated by a high-quality woven NATO strap whose khaki colour matches the dial.
