Montblanc 1858 Automatic 40 mm

Description

The Montblanc 1858 line is inspired by legendary watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for the military and exploration. Reinterpreting these exceptional models, Montblanc 1858 reflects the spirit of mountain exploration and the current return to nature. The 1858 Automatic has a 40 mm polished and satin-finished stainless steel case extended by slim, angled lugs. The case back is engraved with the emblematic Mont Blanc, a compass and two crossed ice axes, a nod to the world of mountaineering. For perfect legibility and a striking look, the black dial has contrasting luminescent cathedral-shaped hands with a skeletonised design, slightly domed for added refinement. The dial also features Arabic numerals coated in beige SuperLumiNova, a railway minute track and the original 1930s Montblanc logo with its historic typeface and a depiction of Mont Blanc. The watch is fitted with a khaki nubuck calfskin strap.
